Gecko Turner's “Chicken Wire” (the one with that video of those very funky elderly Mexicans) gets a stomping 4x4 boogie do-over by one of Lovemonk's favourite French duos, Souleance (DJ Soulist & Fulgeance), turning a laid-back shuffler into a make-room-I'm-gonna-show-you-my-moves-and-then-you're-coming-home-with-me dance floor shaker. Mo Kolours dons “I'll Do That” with a subtle hip-hop beat like only he can, and gives the tune an even more late-night, jazzy vibe than the original. Score!

I heard this album back 2016 , just was not in the mood for it, was still into more faster 4/4 beat music . Over last four year I have progressed into this love of soul , funk and especially jazz. This record is on fire, I love it so much . I love changes of the time signatures, yeah it has though Herbie feel, but also the urban feel, back in forest hill I go! jazz, funk, broken beat all in one it's a must ! Gary Hawkins

This had been sitting in my cart for a while and it was the First Nations Bushfire Donation that really pushed the sale. Thank you Brownswood for highlighting Australian peoples' needs and their music! Matty Stanbrook

Modern Jazz? Who wants to hear it? YOU. This is the smoothest, most mellowed-laid-back modern jazz produced in the last 10/15 years, easy. You don't like the flute? Get lost. For some of us, this eases our minds. This album chills out to places that you don't usually chill out. So, relax. And chill to the wonderful sounds of Chip Wickham. Douglas McQueen
